I LOVE the Scooba

The best money I've ever spent. We have a toddler and a large dog, and hardwood floors throughout our entire house. I could never get them clean enough. We can now see a reflectiton in the floors. I can clean 2 good sized rooms on one charge, and it takes about 2 hours to recharge for the next round. It takes me about 5 minutes to set up the tank and virtual walls.
Some tips for getting it to work well:
* Clean out the filters and brushes ever 2 rooms.
* Cleaning 1 room at a time gets your best results.
* I like the Scooba cleaning solution better than vinegar, but it is a little pricey ($6 for a bottle)
* The set comes with 1 virtual wall. I like having 2. If you have a Roomba, the Roomba virtual walls will also work with the Scooba.

Good thing I bought it on clearance

Target had these on clearance so I picked one up. We have a 2-story house with hardwoods. It leaves streaks on the floors and it constantly gets the "i'm stuck" "tank empty/full" signal- It takes a little over an hour to clean one room (about 10x15). The battery is dead before I can get all of my floors clean, after 2 months of using twice a week the battery is shot. On a good note, the cleaner that you can use with it smells nice.I won't purchase another iRobot product- it seems more hassle at a costly price.

Terrible warranty support

Had Scuba for about 6 months before problems started. Up until then it worked like a dream. Problem is the Battery. They do NOT hold up. It seems unless you continuously use scooba on at least a weekly or twice weekly basis the batteries fail. I am only one person so my floors do not get so dirty that I need to use it so often. Well it took several weeks to get a response from Irobot customer support and several days of trying their useless methods of recovering the battery before they finally sent a replacement. Worked for about two months and then died again. Tried for over two months to get further assistance and was ignored. I now am the owner of very expensive floor cleaner with two useless batteries, no customer support and no warranty left. The company obviously cares more about the Military side of their robot business than retail. If not for the lousy company support of their products and the fact they have left me high and dry with a defective product I would have given it at least a 4-star rating.

The scooba has reliably cleaned our kitchen floor weekly, and some of our other floors occasionally, for the past twelve months, and the roomba has reliably cleaned our diningroom and livingroom floors during that time.

We purchased this for my in laws as basically a "Test" they swore by it, so we bought one! We had alot of the problems others had however, if you read the manual it explains everything and works great. We have three kids and a malamute! I just hope they design one that can wash your carpet as well as this does floors! We threw our mop and swiffer out. If something breaks it's a cheap and easy fix it yourself using their website. We feel it has paid back it's worth over and over again! We are now waiting on the roomba to get here and then we'll be clean day in and out!

I have had the scooba for over a year and I must say that I think it is great. The scooba does have a few glitches such as getting clogged (I have dogs) and there was an issue with the battery failing to hold a charge. However, if you call the I-robot help line, they will take care of everything. I was told how to clean clogs (its very simple) and the battery issue was a manufacture defect with the charger and the company sent me a new battery, free of charge, and reprogrammed my scooba so that the battery issue is now permanently resolved. As far as cleaning goes, this little gem can really get the floors clean. I was shocked at how dirty the used water was. I would recommend this to anyone who asked.

I absolutely love my iRobot Scooba. I highly recommend the iRobots, they're great! It vacuums, washes and dries my kitchen and bathroom tiled floors. They shine. These would make a great gift, also. No more mops and pails for this girl!

Ok, I have had this about 3 weeks and have used it many times. I love it. You do need to do some cleaning up before you use it... it won't pick up cheerios, noodles, etc. from the floor but small debris (bark from the park, crumbs from toast, etc) it does get up. It also helps to clear the room (as the manual states), just like when you mop normally - it is a dream!!!!!!
I mopped weekly, now I scooba a couple times a week and my floors are squeaky clean. Be aware you will have to empty a tank, and wipe the bottom clean, dumb the debris in the trash and do a small wash down after each use but it is way less work than scrubbing the floors the old fashion way! I had a small problem with the tank release button, wrote an email to irobot, they wrote me back within an hour, I sent them my address, and they mailed me a new tank the next day.

This robot has not been perfected enough to be put on the market. Don't waste your money and time. I could explain further, but I'm sure that the other low rating reviewers have already said what I need to say.

As a working mom I don't want to spend my free time cleaning the house, and we don't have a housekeeper. It was tough for me to break down & mop the floors consistently and I hated the feel & look of dirty floors beneath my feet (our house is 80% tile). Now I run Scooba and it's great! Like a previous review said, you will have to empty the tank and do some "work" but not as much as it would take to get my floors looking this good! I run it in small areas (one room @ a time) to make sure the floors get clean & the battery doesn't run out. I haven't had a problem yet!
